Prayer to Cast Out Demons

This article is about prayer to cast out demons.

All miracles done in the old testament were also done in the new testament.

Examples of miracles in both the old and the new testament include raising the dead and healing the sick.

Throughout the old testament, there was no such a thing as casting out demons.

Casting out of demons was only done in the new testament when Jesus Christ restored the authority that was given to man by God over all things in this world.

Jesus said, “But if I cast out devils by the Spirit of God, then the kingdom of God is come unto you.”

“If I drive out demons by the Spirit of God, then the kingdom of God has come upon you.” Luke 11:20 and Matthew 12:28

The kingdom of God was restored on earth when Jesus demonstrated the power over demons which used to torment people.

That is why He preached saying “the kingdom of heaven has come” Matthew 10: 5-8.

Matthew 10:8 – Heal the sick, cleanse the lepers, raise the dead, cast out demons. Freely you have received, freely give.

And He said to them, “Go into all the world and preach the gospel to every creature. He who believes and is baptized will be saved; but he who does not believe will be condemned. And these signs will follow those who believe: In My name they will cast out demons; they will speak with new tongues; they will take up serpents; and if they drink anything deadly, it will by no means hurt them; they will lay hands on the sick, and they will recover.” (Mark 16: 15-18)

Mark 1:21 – 26, 39

Luke 13:31 -32

Luke 10:17-20

The Ministry of Philip the Evangelist

Acts 8:5-8

Then Philip went down to the city of Samaria, and preached Christ unto them. And the people with one accord gave heed unto those things which Philip spoke, hearing and seeing the miracles which he did. For unclean spirits, crying with loud voice, came out of many that were possessed with them: and many taken with palsies, and that were lame, were healed. And there was great joy in that city.
